Most sessions are programme-specific and hosted by programme directors and professional services staff who teach on and support the programmes—so you hear first-hand what studying is really like.

Who Open Days on demand is for

These sessions are designed for anyone who has not yet applied, whether you are seriously considering postgraduate study at Edinburgh or just beginning to explore your options.

If you have already applied or are holding an offer, you may also find the recordings helpful. They offer a deeper insight into your programme, introduce you to the programme team, and give you the opportunity to learn more about student life and support services.

I really enjoyed the attitude of the lecturers, the breadth of the information presented, the flow of the information being logical, the encouragements, and the many resources shared. Thanks a lot for providing these! The more information, the better for me as I'm searching for degrees.

What Open Days on demand is

Open Days on demand is a collection of recordings of live sessions held during:

  • Virtual Open Days (November 2025)
  • Online Learning Open Days (May 2025) 

With over 200 sessions available, the recordings will give you a detailed introduction to individual degree programmes and the academic and professional services staff who deliver and support them. 

You will learn:

  • what makes the programme distinctive  
  • more about the courses you’ll study
  • what it's like to be part of the student community

Alongside programme-specific sessions, you can also watch recordings hosted by student services staff, covering topics such as:

  • applying and preparing to start your studies
  • funding opportunities
  • student support, well-being, and life as a postgraduate student
