For some degree programmes, we receive a large number of high-quality applications. Due to this, we cannot always make offers to all candidates who meet the entry requirements. How we consider applications For some degree programmes, we consider each application in comparison to other submissions for the same degree programme. We look at the full application during the selection process. This includes: academic grades (already achieved or predicted)performance in modules relevant to the degree programmerelevant experiencemotivation for studying the degree programme (demonstrated in the personal statement)references (where required) The level of competition will vary from one programme to another and will depend on the number and quality of applications we receive. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to make an offer to all applicants who meet our entry requirements. One of the most common reasons for an unsuccessful application is simply that other applications were stronger. This does not mean your application did not have merit or that it would not be successful in another year, just that this time it unfortunately was not as strong as other applications we received.
