No parking

Do not travel to the Medical School by car, as parking at the Royal Infirmary / Edinburgh BioQuarter is for hospital staff, patients and their visitors.

If you are on the waitlist

Your waitlist status

We will email you if space becomes available. You can also check your status using the Medicine ticket link in your emails.

We strongly recommend that you do not join the waitlist for the alternative session time, as you will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist for the new time. It is not possible to be on both waitlists.

If a space doesn't become available

You can still take part in some activities at the Medical School:

  • Visit the information desks
  • Watch the pre-recorded curriculum and admissions talk
  • Join a Student Chat Show, subject to space

You will not be able to attend a Group Based Learning session or a Clinical Skills tour, which will be for registered ticket holders only due to strict capacities.

Much of the teaching in the first two years of our Medicine course takes place at the Central campus so it will be relevant for you to see this area, particularly Teviot Place, Doorway 3 (Old Medical School Quad).

Online resources

Following the Open Day, the Medical School will send you a recording of the Medicine talk and other useful online resources so that you can find out about the course.
