Programme

View the programme for our October Open Days.

We offer the same activities on both dates, with the exception of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.

We will send you a final version of the programme by email before the event. We also provide copies on the day.

Changing your booking

To cancel your booking for the Open Day, or add or remove any activities you have registered for, follow the instructions in your booking confirmation email.

We recommend checking if there is a space on the activity you would like to change your booking for before cancelling, as your cancelled place will automatically be given to someone on the waitlist if we are at capacity.

Waitlist bookings

If you are on the waitlist for an activity and a space becomes available, your booking will be automatically updated. You can view your registration status at any time using the ticket in your booking confirmation email.

Accompanying guests

Some activities will be very busy. If there is limited space, we will prioritise prospective students. 

For this reason, your booking for a talk, taster session or tour ensures that the student associated with the booking will be able to attend. However, guests may not always be able to accompany them. We will allocate any remaining spaces on a first come, first served basis on the day.

If you are a guest of a student registered for the Open Day, you are welcome to speak with staff at information desks and visit University facilities.

Bring your confirmation email to check in at the Open Day

On the day, bring your confirmation email, which includes a link to your ticket and QR code. 

We cannot guarantee internet access, so we recommend downloading your QR code in advance of the event.

Travel information

We provide information about travel and accommodation for your visit, including:

  • directions from the bus and train stations
  • how to travel from the airport
  • parking advice

Travel discounts

We have secured discounts for booking coach and train journeys with multiple travel providers, and for our university-managed accommodation.

If the event is cancelled

We will explore all options to avoid cancelling on-campus events. However, there may be rare occasions where events or sessions are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. 

We are unable to accept liability for any costs incurred by visitors (for example, travel and accommodation). Therefore, you may wish to consider travel insurance or flexible tickets.

How we use your data and communicate with you

You will be sent communications about the Open Day through a third party called Gecko Engage. We will email you with the final version of the programme, as well as useful updates and information to help you make the most of your visit.
