Clearing for International and European Union applicants

International and EU students who have received their results can apply through Clearing from 2 July 2026.

We currently have a limited number of Clearing vacancies available on some of our degrees for qualified students who have received their results with a tuition fee status of ‘Overseas’ or 'EU EEA Overseas'.

Am I eligible for Clearing?

Clearing will be available to you if:

  • you have a fee status of ‘Overseas’ or ‘EU EEA Overseas’. If you normally live in a country outside of the UK or Republic of Ireland you are likely to be assessed as having ‘Overseas’ or 'EU EEA Overseas' tuition status;

and

  • you are not holding any offers from another University, or you currently hold an Unconditional Firm offer at another University but wish to be released into Clearing to apply elsewhere;

or

  • your UCAS status says 'You are in Clearing' or 'Clearing has started'.

Do not release yourself into Clearing until we have confirmed that you will receive an offer.

Step-by-step guide to applying 

Step 1: check that we have vacancies for the degree you want to study

Check that we have vacancies for the degree you want to study. You can’t apply through Clearing for a degree that has no vacancies.

Our vacancies change frequently, so even if you checked recently check again immediately before beginning the application process.

Interested in more than one degree?

You can only apply for one degree through Clearing. If you are interested in more than one, apply for your first choice. This should be the degree you are most interested in and believe you are best qualified for.

If you have any concerns about this you can raise them in the application form. 

Step 2: check that you meet the entry requirements

Check that you meet the entry requirements for the degree programme you want to apply for.

You must have already received your results.

Step 3: complete our application form

Complete our application form for Clearing for international and EU applicants. A member of our admissions team will email you if you are eligible for an offer.

Do not complete the application form if:

  • You have Scotland or Rest of UK fee status.
  • You do not meet our entry requirements or are waiting for your results.
  • You have already used the form.

We will not respond to applications from ineligible students, due to the volume of applications we receive at this time.
