What you will study

The mobility structure, with possible change in study location after each semester, gives students the opportunity to gain from the strengths and expertise of different universities in the field of Fire Safety Engineering.

Semester 1 at Ghent University or the University of Edinburgh covers basic topics in Fire Protection Engineering.

All students spend Semester 2 at Lund University, with emphasis on enclosure fire dynamics, risk analysis and human behavior in fire.

You will spend Semester 3 studying more in-depth courses at Ghent University or Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Semester 4 is dedicated to the masters thesis. For Semester 4, you can be hosted by one of the full partner institutes or one of the associated partner institutes. Collaboration with one of the IMFSE contributors is also possible.
