Equivalent qualifications for postgraduate study

You must have one of the following to apply to a masters degree:

  • a bachelors degree from 2022 onwards from a recognised institution
  • a bachelors degree from a Centre of Excellence or prestigious university:
    • Asian Institute of Management
    • Ateneo de Manila University - Quezon City
    • De La Salle University - Manila
    • University of Santo Tomas
    • University of the Philippines - Diliman
    • Centres of Excellence
  • a masters degree

Your degree must be in a subject specified under 'Qualifications' (if any).

UK degree percentages  

If a programme requires you to achieve a specific UK percentage, use these ranges to help determine what you need in the qualification you studied.

  • A first class ranges from 70% to 100%.
  • A 2:1 ranges from 60% to 69%.

For example, if a programme asks for at least 65%, this would be halfway between the equivalent of a 2:1 and first class in the qualification you studied.

PhD entry

If you’re applying to a PhD or professional doctorate programme, you need a:

  • PhD if the degree programme requires a UK masters
  • masters if the degree programme only requires a UK bachelors with honours 

English language requirements

You must prove that your English language abilities are at a high enough level to study your degree programme.

Graduate entry for undergraduate degree programmes

If you are applying for an undergraduate degree programme with graduate entry, the equivalent qualifications for postgraduate study apply. However, the requirements for Veterinary Medicine (Graduate Entry Programme - 4-year programme) BVM&S may be higher.
